April 1~April 15
The Time of Spring Break!
Life is great, but difficult in many ways. Money is sometimes a difficulty, and many people around the world don't have money to get food or clothing. It is a problem when you don't have money. But know that money does not bring happiness to anyone. Each one of us have problems, but we try to ignore them. Here is a song that I love and always will, because it talks about the road of life, the way to happiness. This song is called On My Way sang by Phil Collins from one of my favorite movies: Brother Bear. Hope you like it!
Here are the lyrics of the song above:
On My Way
Tell everybody I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
With blue skies ahead, yes I'm on my way
And theres no where else I'd rather be
Tell everybody i'm on my way
And I'm loving every step I take
With the sun beating down, yes I'm on my way
And I can't keep this smile off my face
Cause theres nothing like, seeing each other again
No matter what the distance between
And the stories we tell, will make you smile
Or really lifts my heart
So tell'em I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
And to sleep under the stars and could ask for more
With the moon keeping watch over me
Not the snow nor the rain, can change my mind
The sun will come out, wait and see
And the feeling of the wind
In your face can lift your heart
Oh... theres no where I'd rather be
Cause I'm on my way now
Well and true
I'm my way there
I'm on my way now(x3)
Tell everybody I'm on my way
I just can't wait to be there
With blue skies ahead, yes I'm on my way
And nothing but good times to share
So tell everybody I'm on my way
And I just can't wait to be home
With the sun beating down yes I'm on my way
And nothing but good times to show
I'm on my way
Yes, I'm on my way

Spring Break is already here. I am kind of bored, but I have books to entertain me. I am reading a book that is called The Last Silk Dress, a book in the Civil War in about 1861 and 1862. It is a great book. Susan, a fourteen-year-old girl, faces problems not only in the war, but also in her family. I am very close to the ending!
I can not wait for Easter! It is almost here in about a week! Easter is on April 8, one week from now.
Now that I think about it, I am not really so bored in this break, because I can talk to my teacher, Mrs. Ilko, and all the friends that join the site called Edomdo. Click here to go to it: http://www.edmodo.com/. You can also ask your teacher to do that. It is a great way for teachers and students to communicate! So yesterday, Mrs. Ilko posted this link: http://budtheteacher.com/blog/2012/04/02/npm2012-prompt-2-2/and it great for a writer like me. I like to write poetry, and this will help me be better. Each day, they put a picture and you can write about it. You will find me there and also you will find Mrs. Ilko.
Mrs. Ilko has a club called Writing forChange, which means we write to change the world. I joined it last year, when I was in 6th grade, and also others did, like Ellen, Daevoinne, Consuelo, Reyna, Rebeca, Makayla, and others more. It is a great club! Mostly, it is Ellen and I who post things on Edmodo. She is also in my some of my classes, and so is Daevoinne. - - -Thinking now about this website, it made me think about the different kinds of roads you can get into. I went to Google and found these pictures showing different kinds of roads you can walk on.*Here a sideshow of different paths:

My favorite picture is the one road that breaks into three roads. You have to choose one. It is hard to do that, because you don't know which one is the best of all. That happens a lot in my life. It is hard to choose, but you have to choose, or else you would be stuck in it forever. Also, I love the one that the road is straight and at the end lays the sun. For me, this picture means that your life is happy with no problems or worries to look at.

One day, Mrs. Ilko gave us the idea of writing a story only using 25 words! It was hard to do that, but all of the members of the Writing for Change club tried their best. Mrs. Ilko gave us examples. We did our very best. We all posted our 25 words on Edmodo, and I asked Mrs. Ilko if I could make it into a Prezi, and I did.

Wow! Ellen and I are posting a lot of things on Edmodo. She asks about whether to do this or that, and always I try to help her. Ellen writes stories, and she is great at doing that. She is also a great friend and a great member of the club. She is always there to write and share her ideas. Thanks Ellen for being there everyday at school, meeting us for Writing for Change club. Mrs. Ilko is so proud of us, I can always tell, from her smile and her posts on Edmodo. I can not wait until I see them again on Monday when we go back to school!

Spring Break is almost over, and I truly miss my friends and teachers. Then what would happen to me when Summer comes? When school is going to start again, there will be tests and quizzes, and I will not forget about Math homework, I can go with all that, I think. The teachers are going to press on us, because CSTs are going to be here. Ah. . . I am so worried, but I will always try to do my best, and I know everyone will do too!
Life is not always hard, like now. Everything is going fine in Spring Break. Ellen is keeping me cheerful by posting comments and me replying. Also, I am posting poems on Bud the teacher almost everyday. So everything is going pretty smooth these days. Just straight.
